Electrical experts help needed...

I need to run a 6 Volt accessory on a 12 Volt system, and I was wondering what my options were to make this work, and how it works.

My ideal solution is buying some basic parts at Radio Shack and then adding those to my wiring between the 12 Volt source, and the 6 Volt Accessory.

What do I need to make this work?

Any and all help is appreciated!
