You said your friends truck is a 41, are you sure of this? The 1941 truck would have a T125 motor, and the chances of having a almost correct motor in that truck are low.

The 41-47 trucks look the same, have you checked the VIN, and the frame to make sure it matches the door tag?

Just wondering.
