I pulled the rear valance off my Carryall on Monday evening. Although it was rust free on the outside and had only minor surface rust on the inside the panel was pretty much beat to death.
My local panel beater figured it would cost 75 to a hundred bucks to make me a new one . I figured that was darn reasonable and told him to go ahead. I was going to make a buck and hand form one but it would take about 5 or 6 hours to pull it off.
So I just finished welding up the and grinding down the indents I made ( when I drilled out the spot welds) in the support panel underneath the valance.
Next step is to weld the support back to the body and install the nw valance when it comes in.
I gotta square up thje body first.
Take care
Bruce
