Speedo Cable Replacement

So I disconnected the speedo cable from the rear of the speedometer unit, as was suggested in the last forum when I complainted that the Speedo and odometer had stopped working.

Sure enough, it seems the cabel core is broken, as it doesnt spin when I drive the truck down the road.

In checking Roberts Motor Parts, they list only 1 speedo cable core (69 inches). It doesnt say that it is for a PW, just a generic application for trucks.

Has anyone tried this item from Roberts for their flat fender? Are these cable cores generic? If so, is this something I can get at the local auto store? If not, will the part from Roberts work?
