First of all there is this website, which will give you more info on the WWII trucks:
http://homepage.powerup.com.au/%7Edjr/
Poke around, there is lots of good info there.
The same site has a list of serial numbers and delilvery dates look here:
http://homepage.powerup.com.au/%7Edjr/data3.html
Even though there are not very many listed, I think you can say based on those numbers that your truck was built in 1943.
The other choice for getting the date of delivery is Chrysler historical, who can provide you with the build card for your truck for about $25 based on the serial number.
Look here to see how to contact them:
http://www.dodgepowerwagon.com/best/buildcards.html
If your truck still has the tags on the glovebox door, there should be a date of delivery stamped on that tag, so if you check that tag you will know when the military accepted that truck, which should be a few days off of when the truck was built.
If you decide to check the number through Chrysler, verify it first on the frame, or any dash tags to make sure you are getting the correct build card.
Let me know if you need images of the number locations, or any other info.
I hope this helps!
Eric
