David; I don't use the ballast resistor on my M37. I went with a straite 12 volt coil like Paul is talking about. I have a 6 volt starter in mine but it uses a solinoid instead of the pedal to engauge the starter. I use a remote solinoid but left out the bypass to the coil. It cranks so fast with the 12 volts it does not drop the voltage and realy only takes a bump of the key to get it going anyways. Mark H.
