Tim is correct. Chrysler (Dodge) often treated any unsold inventory as being the next year model. I had a "late" 1949 Chrysler New Yorker which had totally dfferent body and sheetmetal than the "early" 1949 which was the same as the 1948 models.

I almost wish I still had that New Yorker - until I look at gas prices. It got 10 miles per gallon driving fast, slow, city traffic, or highway. It was the most comfortable car I have ever been in.
