heater motor

bought a power wagon last dec. and am learning about the truck as i go.what a cool thing to drive! on my first long trip w/the rig [20 ml] i had the heater going and after a while the fan quite.havent had time to investigate yet bet am looking for advise on were to start.49 b1 w/ 12v conversion.could it be that the motor was 6v and just gave out.also could it be replaced. thanks dave
