BB 440

Sorry for the post about a newer Power Wagon but you guys have to much knowledge not to ask. I just picked up 2 440's one of wich will soon reside in my 73 Power Wagon. It is out of an early 70's car. Not sure how early though. I want to have a motor that has mostly low end tourque. What should I be building towards then. I'm thinking polish heads and intake. Maybe get a new intake???? I have a set of headers for it that will feed dual 3" straight pipes. The intake has a K&N if it matters. I am thinking a mild RV/Towing cam might help my performance about. What are your suggestions. Also what kind of power do these motors make? I'm coming from a 318.
