Please explain how in your mind it is possible to believe that the miniscule amount of diesel that is being consumed in Iraq is having any effect on the price of gasoline in the U.S?

The reason for the increasing price of gas is the limitation of production by OPEC and by the rising consumption of China and India.

Also factor in the increasingly bizarre antics of the Communist Dictator in charge of Venezuela ( who just signed an agreement with Iran) and in part by the fact that no new refineries have been built in this country in 30 years because of opposition from well-meaning but ignorant groups that believe we should revert to a neolithic existence.
