They were 12 Volt.

The battery box is mounted on the side running board, and by the 3/4 series they must have all started out with 12 volts.(the blackout drive light is stepped down to 6 volts with a resistor.
As for prices: I paid $2200 for a frozen engine, reardeck trunk missing (and above), no top bows (most expensive part) no rear seat frame, doorway cut out, no spare tire carrier, NON-WINCH model.
A friend paid $800 for a similar one with the rear deck top part, but missing a section of front right axle at the time.
Check out the Forums Classifieds and you will find a project vehicle for $2500 or such (not a bad deal actually)
I sought one for 8 years, finally paid the farmer much more than it was worth, but in the long run I'm fully satisfied.
I too had dreams of a modernized (digital LED bar dash) cool paint job, BIG BLOCK V8, winch model Command Car that could keep up with anything plus look cool.
Instead, I knuckled down and restored it to Military standard, added a PROPERLY mounted winch conversion that looks factory done, bought the top, added disc's all around and 4:30's to keep up the speed (you'll find 4:89's the more commonly available mod)

Bottom line, start at $1000 (if your budget allows) and then make a couple of hundred more offer if needed. Go as high as you feel its worth, if you don't get it, you'll know more of what they seek. (If you say your restoring it verses modifying it you stand a better sympathy chance maybe)
Rear floor is STEEL (is it missing?) Parts are available, fabrication and patience is the key to success.
You didn't mention "Wife" or storage during the rebuild, but these are considerations.
KEEP IT STOCK, you'll get more respect and crowd appeal. WAW
