I have had many great dealing with both the on line auctions and the real ones. I have just gone to a real auction at and old Chrysler dealership and did very well as there were only 72 bid numbers out and almost all of them were interested in the new equipment. I picked up 52 old MILLER tools for $25.00. One was C-758F Pinion setting guage for the Power Wagon which I saw one at Hershey a few years ago for $250.00 (who is the crook??). At teh same auction I got a Snap On MT 2500 scanner with 1998 cartridges in it for $200.00, this is a $2000.00 item in used condition, $2800.00 new. and it works perfectly!! (good buy???)I also got my PW at an auction for $4500.00 it only has 16,000 miles on it and was a city fire truck and in perfect condition, the portable pump on was worth $4000.00 alone. I can honestly say that I have gone to some auctions and came home with nothing. I find this to be the case when the auction is held on a weekend and people that are not "normal" auction goers have more money than brains and bid everthing up. I have seen mufflers for tractors go for double of what Central Tractor charges for them new.

I also buy and sell on eBay with great results. I had to put a new set of tires on the PW, because it came with the original Goodyears which were dry rotted, for $650.00. I paid for them with the money I made from eBay sales, thus NO money had to come from my pay check, which makes the wife happy!

I attend auctions to buy the items that are no longer available like the Miller tools. I also know for a fact that some auctioneers use "shill" bidders as I was one for a local auctioneeer. I was told what to bid on and the price at which to stop. Thus with this knowledge I ussually can pick out the shill in the crowd if there is one.

If anyone out there does not like auctions, GREAT stay home thus there will be one less person to bid against.

P.S. I could not find a "fiber gasket" at the dealership for you Jack. But I am still looking.
