How large (hp) permanent magnetic motor do you estimate would be required ? Could it be direct driven or would it require some gearing?

I have a General Instrument Stroboscopic Tach that I could measure what RPM the AC Compressor is turning on my Ram at High Idle, and drive the onboard AC to that given RMP....Make Sense ?
