I saw an interesting rig today and wondered if anyone's heard of it. It appears to have once been a truck-mounted crane, but the crane itself is missing. It looks like it has two small separate cabs with a space in between them that presumably the boom set in and was supported by a bracket mounted to the front of the truck. It has a hercules engine. It appears to be a civilian model that had some limited military procurement because there's military nomenclature on the doors and bumper, and a small data plate that may have been hand-made giving the ordnance part number and contract number. The gages are not M-series military. The delivery date may have been 1952, if I read some of the numbers right. "Biederman" is cast into the top of the radiator. I don't have any pictures. Anybody ever heard of a Biederman crane?
