It is worse that that up here. Every couple of years California wants to do a water grab from the Snake or Columbia rivers then move it across Oregon and northern California to meet the demand of major urban areas. You may laugh, but you got to say it follows the exact pattern that they have done for over a century. Take everyones water and leave the river beds dry. They are getting a lot of rain this year and we are not. I wonder if they will be willing to share with us? I doubt it, as they seem to take everything and give back little as they need to keep the grass green and the lights up bright while others cut back. I know that my grass will be brown this year due to the lack of water and my power bills will be higher due to lower water behind the dams.

By the way it is Eastern Washington that produces most of the power in this state for Western Washington and some for the western US in general.

It extends to the county level in this state. In King county they (the Democrats) just enacted a law that basically says you can not use/touch or develop 65% of your land in the rural areas (they want to preserve the enviornment) with no payment to the owners. The urban/suburban areas had no restrictions placed on them at all. Talk about one sided. The head of the county is having public meetings where any dissenters or Republicans are not allowed to attend. Funny thing is that last week they still got in and even the rural Democrats lamblasted him so bad that he left the meeting.
