Vaughn-PIF-shock question

Using Vaughn's numbers on the PIF, I went to a local Car Quest for front and rear Gabriels for my 52 B-3. The counter man could not find the numbers in his book or cross reference them. I then went on line with a national shock place and they said that the Gabriels of that number are no longer being produced.
Any help?
