Electical question

I should know this but I am not sure. I finally got the engine to my 1/2 ton carryall unfroze and it turned right over with the starter. I forgot that it was a pos. ground when I hooked the battery up and turned it over. I am now ready to start her up. Here is the dumb question: Will the starter crank the other direction if the polarity is switched? Robert.
