Eye protection whenever there is potential threat. Wire wheels, grinding, driveing with windshield down, working in yard, any threat. It becomes easy if motivated. I used to always be fishing something from my eyes. With the use of safety glasses I have not had any problems. A good plastic eye goes for around $1,700. Old eye out was $6,000. Makes safety glasses sound cheep. Get them, use them, Keep them clean. Get used to putting a rag over them when not in use. A pair at every machine. Cover as much of the eye as possible. Not everything comes straight in. Safety glasses are part of working responsiably.
