I don't think the truck had any frame rot, he only used it to carry his camper, maybe a mechanic friend cranked up the injector pump so the cummins would pump out too much torque for the frame to handle sure seemed like a lot of black smoke on take-off, I'm not sure, all I know is he has been a Dodge guy for years, he sold that truck and replaced it with a Ford 750 deisel camper hauler and his towed vehicle is a new GMC pick-up, he likes both of them.
