Mark, if you weave your Flemish Eye so that the loop is as small as it can be and still fit over the thimble, you can cover the cable end with one of these original 4-piece clamps. These hold better than u-bolt clamps anyway, and when combined with the Flemish Eye, make for a really slip free eye.
