After looking at the plate real good I relised the Cable would drag on the front of the plate if I had to pull myself over a bank or pull some one up a bank when I was above them. I cut the plate back for the maxium angle with out the cable draging on the threaded rod and welded in a 1 inch steel rod for a Lower Fairlead and beefed it up with 1 1/2" X 1/4 inch Angle Iron for cable guides. This stops the cable from going under the bummper and hanging up. Now the plate will not deflect on a pull. The skid plate is much stronger then before and should work a lot better. Mark H.
