I learned years ago, when you wrench on stuff, expecially old iron, that 12 point box wrenches and sockets were just about useless for anything, as they round off way too quick. I have lots of 12 point tools, but I never touched a single one for a long time till last night. I had about an hour of daylight left outside, and didnt have anything better to do, so I figgured I probably should get something done on the WDX..I mean afterall, its been setting there since mid November and I havent touched it yet. Well I went and pulled the starter off it last nite. Boy, what a pain! Expecially with oil filter in the way. The bottom bolt was not too bad, as I could get in there with a 6 point and go about 1/3 a turn at a time, but the top one...No way! 6 point would not work at all. Well, Finally I found a small 5/8 12 point box end and there ya go! I could only turn it 1/8th turn at a time, but by golly, I got it! The bolts were not very hard to break loose, even after being on there almost 60 years. The grease all over the place kept a barrier on them to keep the rust from taking its steps. So....I got a greasy ol starter off now, and hopefully this week, I will have time to take it apart and get it rebuilt. So....I am finally making some progress on my truck....Even if its only 1/8th a turn at a time.

My PWA FINALLY Got here today. I bet somebody at the post office borrowed it a few days...yea! Thats it.

God Bless.
