6 or 12 volt bulb question

Forgive the dumb question but I have some old bulbs laying around with no numbers on them, I'm trying to find some 6 volt twin element bulbs with offset ears(1157 type)for a guy. Is there anyway to test them to see if they are 12 or 6 volt? They came from some box of parts from the 40's or 50's so I have that going for me. Any help appreciated, Kevin
