Linseed oil can be dried if you add an ounce or two of japan drier to it. A great wood treatment is to add to this some bees wax and a little pine tar. The wax can be dissolved by shaving it into real turpentine. Thin the mixture with turpentine instead of mineral spirits for brushing or spraying.
