Iguess theres just nothing better than the tried and true, good prep with a good base of primer allowed to dry good then some real good durable paint. I used this method years back on some stripped down axle housings, used brake parts cleaner as a wipedown , shook the cans of red primer and paint well (cheap$1 cans)applied it and the stuff has lasted without rust for roughly 10yrs now !
I guess even the cheap stuff is pretty durable if prep is done and applied correctly. I'll just use better product for this. Thanks guy for your input.
