I don't think it is negativity as much as disgust. You have to remember that this is a Dodge forum. Dodge and Mopar are builders of arguably the worlds best drivetrains and motors. Therefore it is a natural reaction to someone who would want to install a lesser motor into their truck, to ask...WHY????? The gm motor may be free, or available and that is why you are asking, but if you are looking for pure torque or power a Cummins or 440 would be a better choice. If you have the 454 and have your heart set upon installing it we will eventually calm down and give you some good information. You have already received some good info here, it's just a bitter pill for us to swallow, to see a gm powered Dodge.
