OT Question: Battery Chargers

I have an Electric forklift with a Hertner battery charger that is currently wired for 440V 3 PH. My shop is 220 3 PH. Inside the cover it has a high and low voltage diagram on a small relay. The wires that are getting switched to low voltage are 2 20Ga wires. I find it hard to believe that these 2 small wires will chavge all that needs to be changed. It would seec that the wires to the transformers would require some changing also.Does anyone have any expierance with one of these? Any help will be apreciated.
