Foreign tractors have really left a bad taste in my mouth per se. On the farm I used to live on, they have a early 80's Kubota MFWD Diesel loader utility tractor. When I used to get parts for it, EVERYTHING was special order and took forever to get them. You had to go strictly to a Kubota dealer. Also, a while after I moved to the farm, the tractor threw a rod out the block and put 2 holes in the block! needless to say a good used engine has been impossible to find, and a new longblock is $9500! a New Shortblock is $4500, and I have to wait almost a year to get one or the other! Yea, no kiddin! The tractor broke PTO shafts quite frequently also. Parts for Kubotas are expensive, and the tractors become obsolete fast. I'd imagine the same would apply to other foreign tractors as well. Ever heard of a tractor called a Belarus? They were a Russian built tractor that was imported and sold here about 20 years or so, now they are out of business, and you can no longer get parts for them. Belarus tractors on the market right now are selling for little to nothing, because when they break, you might as well scrap them. Kubota has a better network and is more established. Also note how many cheap import tractors are being brought into and sold in the USA. It seems like these are fly by night companies, and when the funs over, they are gone and you get a machine that is junk that you cant get parts for. I like tractors that parts are easy to come by and reasonably priced. Personally, Id stay away from the Kioti.
