Probably would work fine. Its only air flowing thru it. Easy enough to rig a cable pull to close it. Now, I have to measure my air intake hose tomorrow. Something like this, in our applications, will probably never need to be used, BUT..........................it could be a cheap investment to save the engine. Thanks Mark
