A vacuum truck was working at a natural gas plant near Green River, WY about 15 years ago that had a runaway diesel. This was caused by natural gas leaking near the truck. When the truck blew, most of the gas plant went up with it. Luckily, no one was killed or badly injured. Everybody scattered when the diesel started revving up wildly. We could see the flames from the trona mine where I worked about 10 miles away. I think the vacuum truck was a Ford LN-9000, but I don't know what engine was in it.
