Oil Strainer Help.......................

OK You GuRus,

I need help with a oil strainer question, you know that thing that hangs down in the oil pan. The top of mine(not the screened side) looks like it has been pushed in. Is that a problem, or will it still work just fine? Didn't know if that had to do with flotaion or storage of oil volume or something.
