help with engine removal

I have a 75 power wagon with a 225 mated to an np435. I am trying to repalce the motor, but I can't get it to let go from the splines on the tranny. Does anyone have any advice on how to get this thing to let go? I have all the bolts out, and I have lifted and pulled on this thing till I am exhausted. Thanks for any advice given!
