But I get all of that. I'm trying to figure out mathematically how 16 degrees becomes 3?
From Dana's standpoint, the less the better, as you state, they don't want a rash of failures under warantee. But I have not seen one real world FACTORY driveline application in a 4x4 that is anywhere close to 3 degrees. I did notice that they show using a protractor in their data, so the math can't be it, 3 degrees just blows my feeble little mind!
