there is a coil that fits inside it. I think that john bizal at midwest military has them. If not, i would keep the vent lines intact and use a standard 12v coil. Drill the brass fitting on top of the dist to have the primary come through. use the stock wire entry on the side to pass your wires through. you can mount your remote coil high on the firewall or inside the cab to keep it dry. i'd keep the stock dist wire and plugs. i ran 24v with NO PROBLEMS EVER. when i did my 360 conversion, i wanted to keep it 24v and had plans to find a 8 cylinder military dist that i could modify. i ended up going mopar performance with a pertronix kit inside it. not waterproof or cool like the orig.
