Lotta talk on poly 318

When I was 20 or so I had a 67 Barracuda with a stock 273 high performance engine and a four barrel carb. I never knew much about it. I know its based on the 318 block. Was this a very limited production? How's it compare with the Poly? Nobody around here ever knew much about them.
