Any lead substitute will work. The way I understand it the lead acted as a lubricant to the valves. And unless your engine has been rebuilt with hardened seats you need to use something. I personally use Marvel Mystery Oil, I'm guessing a 1/4 pint, with every fill up There are more informed forum members that may be of more help
