there was/is nothing wrong with the 218/230
engines
they work/worked just fine with the gearing
WDX power wagons (along with a Burma jeep, and some WC63's) were what my dad used for his off road Western Line Construction Company trucks
never heard any comments about not enough
power or not being able to get where they had to get (except for the Burma Jeep it would get stuck in the mud a lot)
you will understand wood beds when you see
metal beds after being used off the road
like the waves at the beach
