MB USA has victimized us all by putting all of the tech manuals on CDROM and eliminating the paper ones. I have the W126 manuals, but not the W201.
I subscribe to a Mercedes DIY listserve populated by some very knowledgable folks, including a couple of pro Mercedes mechanics. Suggest you subscribe and post you question there, otherwise I can post it for you. These nice folks have saved me from disaster several times.
