Hood question?

In 1956 did dodge make a pickup with a split hood that opens side to side, thats two wheel drive? I had a guy call me today, that has the above and he told me its two wheel drive. Sounds to me like its a power wagon. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to make a 2 hour drive, if its not a power wagon. Thanks,Pete
