Just my 2 cents, but it's a lot harder to diagnose someone else's work than it is to rewire the charging system. Especially if you have any doubts about whether it was done right. Take one of the sample diagrams from one of Paul's web sites and just rewire the charging system. That way you know it's done right and if you ever have a problem, you know what you have...
