Somebody recommended that I get an older edition of that one, and I found it helpful. I bought a 2nd edition, used, in good shape, through some Amazon.com affiliate for $20. I believe the author is Nichols. It's a good fat book, about 2" thick. I assume you're looking for a book on how to use the dozer to move dirt, not one on how to operate and maintain your particular machine.
I am still learning how to build a road across a very steep hillside using nothing but a pony-start straight-blade D4, but one thing I already learned is not to get too close to the soft edge, slide to the bottom of the hill sideways, clamber out of a precariously-perched cat, and use the winch to carefully pull it out while hoping it doesn't flip over on top of me.
