Depends on the case bolt pattern. It highly likely would not be a bolt-in. Although it might be not too hard to modify your bellhousing. Let's say the NP540 is a late moder GM pattern. The center hole on the bh would need enlarging to 5.125". The machine shop would make 4 holes in the bh, 2 threaded at top, 2 nonthreaded (if bottom holes in trans mounting ears are threaded) at bottom. The inout shaft is only 6.5" long, so you need an "extended pilot bushing". Places like Advance Adapters know about such things. The clutch shop needs to make a disk of the right diameters with a 1-1/8" 10 spline hub. And you need careful measuring to make sure the clutch disk will ride on the splines without binding on the bearing retainer snout or coming off. Disks are flip-over-able. The snout might need shortening. You will need the proper throwout bearing.
On the other hand, an article in Power Wagon Advertiser at least implied that NP540s in the Dodge Power Wagon (civilian) bolt pattern did exist.
