All the old vacuum wipers I've had over the years had a thin film of light grease. usually the wipers failed because this grease hardened. Lubriplate 130-AA seems to be about the same viscosity and ought to work fine until temps drop below 20 degrees. In that event, it might be best to go to a lighter grease. I'm not sure if oil is the way to go, because it tends to either eventually collect in the bottom or simply disappears in hot weather (maybe sucked up by the vacuum pump?).
