Gordon is correct. I usually see this arrangement on front axel bearings on 4 wd trucks, but is probably used on the rear in some trucks. If your washer ddoes not have the holes in it, it may be a nut from a different application that someone has installed. My w-200 has a washer with ears that bend over the outside of the nut to keep it in place. It is sometimes difficult to tell when you have a washer with the holes lined up on the pin when installing. I usually tell by seeing a small bubble of grease push out of the hole where the pin is and it feels like it is sitting flat on the nut. Good luck!
