Yeah, it's me again.
I just got off the phone with a friend of mine who was wondering if I had the WC-22 running yet. He was wondering if I might be able to help him tow an old car about 10 miles. This got me to thinking that I was always wondering about being able to put a tow boom assembly in the back of the WC-22 without damaging the bed sides.
I'm wondering if anybody has any comments on putting a tow boom setup like the Holmes one on the Classifieds site or even a smaller one like on the Texaco model into a P/W with regular bed sides. I'm not interested in doing serious towing, but it would be neat to be able to do so when my car guy friends need a tow for some reason or other.
Of course, if anyone has an old boom/bed setup laying around gathering rust and whatnot, I'd be interested in hearing about it.
Tomorrow night is carb cleaning night for the WC-22. I've taken on a second job to scrape up extra $$$ but it cuts into my truck fixit time.
Wish I was in Texas right about now.....go to the tailgate party!
