I believe the frames are different. If your purpose is to do away with full time 4X4, then I think you can convert the transfer case to full or part time. When I had my '78 Trailduster, I started to convert the case this way. There is a kit that puts an over running clutch set up in the case so you can go either way. Slap some lock outs on the front spindles and you're all set to cut down on wear and tear on driveline components. Either this, or swap your body on a 2wd frame and driveline.
