Lyle,
I had hoped to meet you at Ouray. Unfortunately or fortunately depeinding on your perspective, I found my long lusted after boat 3/4ths of the nation away in Florida. Instead of finishing my M37 engine install and making the Rendezvous, I went to Florida for another toy.
You have heard the one about mixed emotion - Thats where your mother-in-law drives over a cliff in your brand new Cadillac - Well, my last adventure in moving involved taking my mother-in-laws (her included) Cadillac to Florida and using it to haul a 24.5 foot cabin crusier to Colorado. I did not realize Florida does not title or license boat trailers. Unlike Colorado, there does not seem to be any requirement for trailer brakes. Gas mileage was 22 on the way there and less than 8 coming home. To keep my wife and mother-in-law happy we came home by way of Dallas and they stocked up on new goods for their clothing store. Used the boat to haul their stuff home from Dallas. The thrill of being pushed down Raton Pass defies description, but I was glad no one decided to do the accordian thing. Perhaps we can meet next Rendezvous. (And yes, they seem to notice more than we think - wife mentioned I had exceed 100 things behind the barn just the other day.) BOB
