Simple as that. Put some dry ice in a metal pan, and enough alcohol to essentially submerge what you are trying to shrink. It takes a while to get the brew down to temperature. Add ice as it evaporates. Be sure to cover the pan to keep the heat(cold)in. I never did try to remove a bushing with it, but I surmise that if you swabbed it with that -240 degree alcohol, it may help.
As a rule, steel expands(or contracts)8 millionths of an inch per degree. I don't have the coefficient of expansion for those bushings made of sintered powdered bronze.
**Man... Don't drip any of that -240 stuff on your hands.
