Help I need therapy!

I met a owner of a 75 pre smog powerwagon this morning. He was telling me of the problems that he is having with it. It was a fulltime shortbed halfeton with no front friveshaft and he is having rear end problems. The thing is I had 2400 dollars in my pocket at the time and I was tempted to offer him 600 for it.I did not though so I obviously have a problem.Maybe I should go to more rallys and trailrides.that truck should be mine right now.Any advise would be apreacated. stephen
