I took the two day course about 3-4 years ago.It was a rigging and rigging inspection course. The mill i work at(Norske Canada Pulp and Paper)sent 10-12 people,in groups of two,and all of those that attended were pleased with the program.A day of classroom for theory and math, followed by a day of practical field work. The Canadian and U.S. standards are essentially the same(we use more metric ratings)although being in a union(C.E.P. Local 1132),we are more likely to reject equipment than non-union or gov't employees. The safety slogan at our mill is SAFETY IS AN OVERRIDING PRIORITY,and any questionable slings, shackles, ropes etc. are never second quessed.I worked in a non-union job several years ago and the level of rigging standards made me very nervous.
They are good teachers and have a lot of different stuff to offer. Dave
